Patty Adams has over 24 years of experience in the healthcare industry, which includes 15 years in human resources. Prior to joining Aptinyx, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources for Durata Therapeutics where she managed HR planning and operations in support of the commercial launch of Dalvance®.
Patty has also led Human Resources functions at SagePath Medical, BioSante Pharmaceuticals, Lundbeck Inc., and Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America. She earned a B.A. in psychology from Columbia College and an M.S. in Human Resources from Loyola University Chicago.
Carolyn Bellmore has held various compensation roles at Abbott, Quad/Graphics, and Hewitt Associates. She is an experienced in executive compensation, broad-based compensation (including merit processes), variable pay, sales compensation, and equity compensation.
Chris Broderick helps to strengthen relationships between companies and their people leveraging the power of analytics. Having spent much of the last two decades solving business problems for Fortune 500 firms, Chris specializes in employee experience, culture, and real time predictive analytical solutions.
As an IBM HR executive, Chris established IBM’s market leadership in HR practices related to employee engagement and social analytics. She defined, designed and implemented the inaugural employee engagement measurement system for IBM’s 400,000 employee population. Under her leadership, her team further harnessed employee social sentiment to create a real-time predictive employee engagement model. She also has a US patent pending titled “Method for optimizing skill development to maximize labor value.”

As a decisive global leader with proven operational effectiveness, he has successfully aligned organizational and talent strategies to achieve exceptional business growth and performance.
Guy brings a unique global HR perspective to companies having held numerous executive leadership positions at multi-billion dollar companies including Vice President, Human Resources – Global Functions at Baxter International, Inc. and Vice President, Human Resources at Baxalta.
Steve Merkin serves as Senior Vice President, Human Resource for RoundTable Healthcare Partners, assuming this role in May 2017. Previously, he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Renaissance, an integrated manufacturer of generic injectables and specialty pharmaceuticals, and a portfolio company of RoundTable.
Prior to RoundTable and Renaissance, Steve was Senior Vice President, Human Resources for Cardinal Health’s Medical Segment, comprised of medical-surgical distribution and manufacturing businesses that employ over 16,000 employees worldwide. He joined Cardinal Health in 1999 and held senior Human Resources roles supporting the company’s Consulting and Services, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Products and Technologies businesses. Prior to joining Cardinal Health, Steve had over 17 years of Human Resources experience with Cobra Golf, Allegiance Corporation, Baxter International, and Consumers Power Company.
Steve serves as an adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois’ Graduate School of Labor and Employment Relations and as a member of the Auxin Group Advisory Board.
Tim Raher was appointed Senior Vice President of Human Resources for BioTelemetry in July, 2017. Tim came over to BioTelemetry in conjunction with the acquisition of LifeWatch Services where he served in a similar role. Prior to joining LifeWatch, he has worked in both Health Care and Telecommunication environments in senior Human Resources roles.
Tim began his career at Johnson & Johnson where he held various positions of increased responsibility in Consumer Products, Medical Device/Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical/Chemical as well as the Corporate Office. He holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Marketing as well as a Master’s in Business Administration Degree from Lewis University. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management & Development from Dallas Baptist University. Tim also has a Graduate Certificate Degree in Mediation from Southern Methodist University as well as a Certificate in Strategic HR Leadership from Stanford University.
Laurie Wessels is a seasoned Senior Executive Coach and Leadership Consultant with more than 30 years of success in the pharmaceutical, engineering, higher education, and executive coaching industries.
As President of the Wessels Group since 2000, she leads services in executive development and strategic management. She is also on faculty with The Global Institute for Leadership Development since 2007, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management since 2003, and Northwestern University since 2014. She previously had a 15-year career in the pharmaceutical industry as a Senior Marketing Manager with Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer. She has been responsible for creating product strategies and tactics resulting in more than $3 billion in sales and was instrumental in the launch of the highly successful cholesterol drug Lipitor.
Laurie’s proven business skills and experience enhance her capabilities to turn powerful principles into highly effective real life practices and skills. She works with executive teams, sales teams and emerging leaders, blending strategic planning, decision making and leadership behaviors to enhance organizational effectiveness and sustainable leadership.
